Tooth root filling: CMS Dental produces two endodontic obturation systems for tooth root filling: Soft-Core® Endodontic Obturator and One-Step™ Obturator. The principle behind the two obturation systems is simply a core of biocompatible plastic, sized according to ISO standards, coated with thermoplastic gutta percha. A single obturator is all that is needed to obturate a tooth root filling.

Endodontic Obturators

The Soft-Core® Endodontic Obturator and One-Step™ Obturator systems are based on a core of biocompatible plastic, sized according to ISO standards, coated with thermoplastic gutta percha. A single obturator is all that is needed to totally obturate a root canal.
The plastic core is tapered, as it becomes larger toward the plastic handle. This conicity ensures that the plastic core is sufficiently flexible to negotiate even very curved canals. The plastic core and gutta percha are radiopaque.
CMS Dental has produced the endodontic obturators since 1995, and the Soft-Core® and One-Step™ system are now sold worldwide through selected distributors.

Technical products

Moreover, CMS Dental also manufactures the curing and diagnostic light DioPower® and the low level laser DioBeam 830®. CMS Dental has many years of experience in low level laser therapy, and has taken an interest in the subject since the mid 80ies. Dentists all over the world are becoming increasingly interested in using low level laser therapy in their daily practice. The DioBeam 830® is specially designed and manufactured to suit dentists.

Low level laser treatment
Low level laser treatment is a treatment in which a laser beam at a low energy level of between 1 and 16 J is applied at specific points directly to the skin or the mucous membrane, where it spreads to the underlying structures. The low level laser energy is distributed over an area so large (typically 0.5 cm2) that little or no sensation is felt by the patient during the low level laser treatment as no thermal effect is transferred. ... Warm gutta percha
The Soft-Core® and One-Step™ Endodontic Obturators are coated with reversible thermoplastic gutta percha. Using warm gutta percha for root canal fillings adds benefits to your treatment. The warm gutta percha is easy to work with, and it is easily distributed in the canal, which makes it possible even to fill the lateral canals. When buying the Soft-Core® or One-Step™ intro kit you also get a special designed oven for heating of the obturators.
