Using the Soft-Core or One-Step obturation system, one obturator is all you need in order to make a perfect 3-dimensional root canal filling with a tight apical seal. Root filling technique with Soft-Core and One-Step obturation The Soft-Core and One-Step obturators are based on the concept of a core of biocompatible flexible plastic coated with natural thermoplastic gutta percha. The difference between the two systems is that the Soft-Core obturators are inserted in the canal by holding the detachable handle, while the One-Step obturators are inserted by using the specially designed self locking tweezers.
