Root canal filling: Doing a root canal filling with the Soft-Core® Endodontic Obturator or the One-Step™ Obturator is very simple. However, before you perform the root canal filling, make sure that you have achieved the following:

1.Cleaned and shaped the canal properly.
2.Created a smooth tapered form.
3.Dried the root canal.
4.Established the working length.

CMS Dental is based on two business foundations: Manufacturer of patented dental products and importer of dental pharmaceuticals.

We develop, design and manufacture our unique products in our Copenhagen based administration and production facilities. CMS Dental has many years of experience in developing dental products, which throughout the years have been found to be indispensable in dental offices worldwide.

Endodontic Obturators

The Soft-Core® Endodontic Obturator and One-Step™ Obturator systems are based on a core of biocompatible plastic, sized according to ISO standards, coated with thermoplastic gutta percha. A single obturator is all that is needed to totally obturate a root canal.
The plastic core is tapered, as it becomes larger toward the plastic handle. This conicity ensures that the plastic core is sufficiently flexible to negotiate even very curved canals. The plastic core and gutta percha are radiopaque.
CMS Dental has produced the endodontic obturators since 1995, and the Soft-Core® and One-Step™ system are now sold worldwide through selected distributors.

Technical products

Moreover, CMS Dental also manufactures the curing and diagnostic light DioPower® and the low level laser DioBeam 830®. CMS Dental has many years of experience in low level laser therapy, and has taken an interest in the subject since the mid 80ies. Dentists all over the world are becoming increasingly interested in using low level laser therapy in their daily practice. The DioBeam 830® is specially designed and manufactured to suit dentists.

The DioPower® light is the only curing light with interchangeable diode heads. Root filling technique
CMS Dental focuses on root filling techniques. Filling a root canal using the Soft-Core® or One-Step™ Endodontic Obturator techniques takes root filling to a whole new level. Forget all about soft, unmanageable gutta percha points and old style, time consuming root filling techniques. Using the Soft-Core® or One-Step™ obturation system, one obturator is all you need in order to make a perfect 3-dimensional root canal filling with a tight apical seal.

Thermoplastic gutta percha
The principle behind the Soft-Core® and One-Step™ Endodontic Obturator is simply a radiopaque plastic carrier covered with thermoplastic gutta percha. The gutta percha is reversible thermoplastic. This means that the thermoplastic gutta percha becomes soft and highly adhesive when heated to temperatures above approx. 100°C. When cooled, the thermoplastic gutta percha returns to a firm, rigid state. Another heating will once again make the thermoplastic gutta percha soft and adhesive.
